The Next Generation of Hoof Coatings
The Thoroughbred Times published a news release that has created quite a buzz in the racing industry. They reported about a new dual-action hoof coating that not only treats against fungus and bacteria, but also repels external moisture and contaminates as well. They said that almost nothing sticks to the sole and frog including mud, snow and urine soaked manure. The protective coating hardens when buffed with a dry cloth or rolled up newspaper.
No claims have ever been made of faster track times using the new product called Sav-A-Hoof Protectant. However, some trainers have observed that some track surfaces that contain synthetic material appear to be stickier than normal tracks…
” Sav-A-Hoof Protectant “
The ” Dual-Action” Hoof Conditioner
Sav-A-Hoof Protectant performs two key functions: first,
it repels moisture and contaminates, and second, it kills fungus and bacterial. The proprietary formula contains ingredients that target deeply rooted microbes without harming sensitive hoof tissue. It also has a natural plant based emulsion that hardens when buffed with a dry cloth. The Protectant is unique in that it treats the entire hoof (wall, sole and frog), and can be applied to damp hooves that are not completely dry. The hoof will still breathe.
